Privacy policy

How I handle the information you share with me on this site, explained without the fine print.

Last updated:

  • Only to reply to you

I use what you send me to answer and talk about your project.

  • No tracking cookies

No analytics, ads or profiles about you.

  • I don’t sell your data

They are never shared for commercial purposes.

  • You decide

You can ask me to correct or delete them at any time.

01Who is responsible

Juan David Niño Galvis (David Nino), an individual based in Cali, Colombia, is the controller of the personal data collected on soydanino.dev.

For anything related to your data, write to danino.dev@gmail.com.

02What data I collect

  • Contact form: your name, email, the type of project and the message you write. This is the only personal information you give me directly.
  • Technical server data: like any website, the hosting platform temporarily logs data such as your IP address, browser and the requested page, so the site works and stays secure.
  • Your theme preference: if you pick light or dark mode, it is saved in your own browser (local storage). It is not a cookie and never leaves your device.

I don’t use analytics tools, tracking pixels or advertising cookies.

03What I use it for

  • Replying to your message and following up on the conversation or proposal you start.
  • Keeping the site running, protecting it from abuse and fixing errors.

I don’t use your data to send you advertising, I don’t sell it and I don’t share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

05Services involved

To work, the site relies on a few providers that process data on my behalf. Some are outside Colombia, mainly in the United States, and have appropriate security measures:

  • Vercel: site hosting and technical server logs.
  • Resend: delivering the form message to my inbox.
  • Google: receiving the message in Gmail and loading the typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
  • GitHub: the server fetches my public activity to display it; it receives no data about you.

Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram or client projects lead to sites with their own privacy policies.

06How long I keep it

I keep messages for as long as the conversation or working relationship lasts, and up to two years after, in case you want to get back in touch. Then I delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.

07Your rights

As the owner of the data, you can:

  • Access, update and correct your data.
  • Request proof of the consent you gave.
  • Know how it has been used.
  • Withdraw your consent and ask me to delete it.
  • File a complaint with Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), or with your local data protection authority.

Email danino.dev@gmail.com with your request. I answer queries within 10 business days and complaints within 15 business days, as the law requires.

08Security

The site always runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and only I have access to the messages I receive. No system is perfect, but I take reasonable measures to protect your information.

09Minors

This site is aimed at people and businesses looking for professional services. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch.

10Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle data, I will update this page and its last-updated date.
